Curved brace suppliers - 04/05/17 02:01 PM

Hi All,
I am looking for some curved braces for an upcoming project. It's a small garden swing so nothing big. 10-12 pieces ranging from 6'-10' long at 4"-6" thickness with a sagitta or versine, (my new wikipedia words for the day) of 6"-8" hardwood, not much of that here in Colorado.

If anyone has leads on curved brace/collar stock I would appreciate any info.

Thank you,
Ian

There are a few timber frame shops that may stock some curvy, funky wood. I don't have much in hardwood right now. You could check with Collin Beggs in Idaho or Timberhomes LLC in Vermont. Frameworks Timber in Fort Collins could have something as well.

BTW, sections of a (small) circle are really hard to come by, as there's a lot of curvature. More gentle arcs are a lot more prevalent.
