Looking for a licensed engineer in Ca.

I am looking for an engineer that is licensed in California, I am building in Truckee, Ca area and would like someone near Truckee if possible. Other areas would be acceptable too if none near Truckee. I also live in the Bay area (Berkeley) so if anyone knows of an engineer in this area that would work too. Thanks

We're in the awkward position with this bulletin board of trying to answer engineering questions in general without recommending one Guild member over another in particular. Try contacting a timber frame firm in your area and see who they use. Or check the Guild Directory in the listing by state and see who's nearby. I hope that will help you get started.
