Which Cordless SDS drill to buy?

Hello Out there,

I am looking to buy myself a cordless SDS drill but not sure which one as I'm spoilt for choice.

I've got my eye on the 18v dewalt(DC213KA) but I'm worried the lack of power might let me down.

As a domestic sparks the most demanding situation I could think of would be drilling through walls, maybe concrete, to run armoured cable. Thats a hole about 20-25mm about 18 inches deep.

Does anyone have any words of wisdom to help me decide???

This is only my opinion, and I'm opinionated: ANYTHING but the Dewalt. Dewalt quality goes downhill daily as the company (Black and Decker) pushes further into the home hobby market. Their new drills lack the power of the old ones and the batteries are utter garbage.

I favor Milwaukee. They're not the Made in the US company that they once were, my drill is made in the Czech Republic and battery in Japan.
And it weighs enough to anchor the Queen Mary. New batteries are reasonable, for 18V, and it has incredible power, after a few years of abuse in a lot of rain and a new set of brushes.

My cordless Dewalt combo hammer drill has served me well for the last 3 years. I'm even still using the same batteries. The hammer drill feature works well enough for small jobs. My corded Bosch dedicated hammer drill smokes the Dewalt though. If you're going to drill a lot of concrete, then get a dedicated tool. It's analogous to sinking a peg with trim hammer versus a 10lb sledge.

My 18v Bosch brute has never failed to meet a challenge put to it. 18" bits for peg holes in some knarly stuff is like slicing butter.
two batteries will go all day and with less than a 4 hr charging cycle you always got one ready.
torque is continuously adjustable . you have to resist leaving it on max at the risk of not stopping until you are next door, all puns intended.
