Makita 13 in saw?

Makita 13 in saw? - 06/07/07 08:53 PM

Last week in my timber frame class, I used a 13 inch makita saw. I've been looking on the internet and I cannot find one. Do they not make it anymore? Do used ones ever come up?
I liked it because it was easier to handle than a larger one. I'd cut with a 7 1/4 saw on both sides of the timber and then use one of the kerfs to guide the 13 inch saw, which cut the final way.

I found it easier handling the 13 inch saw than the 16 inch. Also I felt it was easier following or guiding the saw with the existing kerf I had made with the 7 1/4 saw. I think I already said this though.
