I just discovered this tool last year and must say...
I love it! Where has it been all my life!

I used to think along that line as well, Thane, But, I just discovered swimming! I am so out of shape, I just don't adze or hew enough. I should ride my bike more, too.

The adze is a nice tool, I find myself almost bringing it along even though I know I may not need it, when lugging tools from the shop to the truck for remote work.

Are those single, clean strokes? Im see chips laying around...I guess Im trying to figure out if you cut out the V notch also with that adze as the lines are insanely accurate! Please tell me you also used a chisel, lol

One saw cut then adze to complete birds mouth. It's very easy to cut to a line with the adze. What a great tool. Be careful though, this tool with proper edge has no problem going through insulated Tough Ducks and jeans to cut flesh. Opps!
