I’ve been asked to help sell some fine timber framing power tools.
The owner used them to cut one frame and has completed the job.

This horizontal chain slotter was purchased and used for one job. The job is complete and the slotter is available at a great savings. We have built a custom box for shipping and storage. The slotter was purchased for $6200, it also comes with the 9mm chain/bar/sprocket package ($1330) and an additional 8mm chain ($590). With tax the total cost to buy new is just over $8,500.
When the job calls for insertion of steel plates into timber, no other tool comes even close to cutting straight, parallel slots into wood. This powerful and accurate tool features additional cutting depth to almost 20", yet is light weight enough for ergonomic handling by one person.
• Simple set-up and re-clamping with pneumatic cylinder
• Integrated motor drive with bar and chain system, with a unique brass guide to assure straight tracking of slot
• Bar & Sprocket
• Can be angled 45°
• Bar and chain assemblies for slotting widths of ¼" - ¾" (6-19 mm)
• 1-8mm Chain Hard Chrome Plated
• Both chains have been re-sharpened & are ready for use
• Slot depth of 16" or 18" (406 mm or 460 mm)
