Hi,
Long story, short, I started a barn building business last year, things are starting to look up thank you very much.
The question is this, I have a lead who wants a barn to store 3 antique cars but he only wants one door.
Normally I would do a 24x36 barn (hemlock or Pine) with 3 doors.
I am thinking that a clear span of 24 feet would work but have no idea if a big beam (12 to 16 inches) will carry the load of a finished loft (kitchen, bath, office).
I think I can make a king post work in the loft area but would prefer an alternative.
Any suggestions?
