Building a watchtower

Building a watchtower - 12/29/06 06:09 AM

Hi, Im a young designer starting backpacker lodgings in tropical rainforest surroundings in Malaysia.

Im planning to build timber towers to hold my water drums, but had the idea of building the structures higher so that ppl can climb further up and have a panoramic view of the area.

Are there any plans out there that I might view to help me in building a strong and stable tower structure?

Anton

The Guild did build a tower as a rendezvous project in Illinois in 2003 Vermillion tower
I believe the designer was Wil Dancey

However if by "out there" you mean public domain, you may have some luck with the forest service if they have records of fire tower designs.

Thanx John,

I'll have a look at the forest service sites to see if there's anything suitable.

Yes i have had a look at the Vermillion Tower design. But not quite what i have in mind.
