You two are creepin me out.

Flying under the radar has its advantages.
I don't know about protection, but our scout master always told us to check for squirrels first.
ya, OK.
I'll quit playin' around now and stop lurking.
I've put my name back.
But think, now. If everyone of the 70 + fine guests on the site had their names up, wouldn't there not be enough space for them all...
And I just feel like putting this in here.
Will I require a 4 yr old to become a forum elite?
Or cable...?

Poeisiden? Posiden? Poesiden?
THE PRINCE’S NEW JOB
In a land called, IT-COULD-NEVER-BE,
A prince once lived in an old oak tree.
The prince was never known to laugh;
He had a wife, a son, and a daughter and a half.
Now the job of the prince was complex and hard;
He polished the blades of grass in each yard.
His wife stayed busy cleaning their home,
While his father, the king, just sat on the throne.
The prince stayed tired and had pains in his back,
So one day he said, “I’m quitting this job, by heck.
It’s no job for a prince and I’m not going to do it.
He made a solemn vow, and then stuck to it.
One day while taking his kids out for a walk,
His little half daughter began to squawk.
She wanted to ride on the fish in the brook;
The prince leaned over the edge to take a look.
A big purple fish, with little silver eyes
Gave the prince a wink when he heard her cries.
“OK”, said papa prince, “Come sit upon the fish.
You know I must grant you your every wish”.
The half-a-girl riding in the sparkling brook
Made the neighbors come to get a good look.
All the kids wanted to ride the fish with silver eyes,
And the prince had to let them to hush their cries.
Now the prince was happy, doing what he liked to do
Helping the kids ride the big fish after school.
HAHA!
This might not be what you're talking about, but it's pretty cool!

BIG Grin! Well done, Swanger.
If it weren't at the bottom, you would never have found out about Zabludow, for we never would be scrolling past it to get here.....
Bottom is good.
Think of it more as Base, or Foundation...

I've been looking all around for a human powered mower, one of those that doesn't run on gasoline. My grass is growing and I want to cut it quietly. Anyone know of one.
here's a mower for mo

This round headed dude doesn't have as nice a teeth as our last affable dude.
goats are NOT all that quiet............
Well, they seem to complain a lot but a least they "mow" the lawn without your assistance and the environmental effects a almost nill compared to a motordriven mower.
Let's not forget the goats milk and goat cheese.
When my grandfather was a kid someone showed up at the farm with a treadmill hooked up to a cordwood saw. It was powered by sheep!

Problem with goats is that they not only eat grass, but anything green up to 5'. Was reading that a certain animal sanctuary is full of cast-off goats whose owners did not appreciate this problem; which in turn could produce bargain give-aways for us who are fore-warned
Anyone know the Irish folk song 'Paddy McGinty's goat' ?
PS. TG, your animal pics are v popular with my 2+1/2 yr old son!

thank you all very much with your genuine concern for mo's motives for shopping for mowers. I have purchased the lee-valley mower Mark led me to. Very Nice. Cuts awesome. you know with those gasoline prop mowers, if you try to push to fast it bogs, but with the reel mower the faster you push, the faster the reel rotates. I was running around last night with a green blur in front of me.

I think swanger stole all of my stars.
The walk-behind mower is cool, but another fun little mower to have would be a miniature donkey. Coolest critters ever.
Thanks for the tool report Mo. I've been checking those things out but hadn't taken the plunge. I'm turing 30 in a month (how is it?) so mebbe I'll put it on my wish list..
