Neat.
I was an antique tractor meet last year and saw a similar (but different) wood splittah even quicker than that.. got some footage of it somewhere.

Finally got that footage. This baby can split some wood. A variation on the one Tom C. posted earlier. It's driven by a belt off a tractor's flywheel. Can have two men splitting at once, one on each side. They were processing ash.
Pretty neat.

I can't post the vid, but I recently aquired a mccormik deering 1.5 hp 1927 single piston. I have a vid of someone who runs one of these with a smaller wheel, and they feed the hunks of log the other way. seems to work fine, lower hp, and faster! Will look at posting.
