Barn Restoration in Southern Illinois

We have a 100 yr 30x60, post/beam, oak, gambrel style barn in Waterloo, Il that we want to restore. I am looking for someone that can do this work in our area, or will travel to this area. (close to St. Louis,MO) Can you recommend anyone to me?

You could look in the resource guide for someone in your area that does restorations. You can find the resource guide link on the home page of the guild; it's on the top right hand side near the search button under the "online store" link label. Then enter "restoration" over the "submit query" box and using the pull down arrow select services, then click the "submit query" button. The resource guide will then show you 29 companies listed, and you can sort through them until you find one near your area. Good luck with your repairs. Jim

I think the biggest problem is that so much of the expertise is NOT so much in our part of the country. I have contacted Trillium Dell, not too far away, and am waiting to hear.now

new here, not much to do today while hubby is deer hunting.
I noticed that Jim? left you instructions on how to obtain a list of restoration folks. I have had the darnedest time trying to find that list. Is there any way you could ad-lib on the way you found it.?
I live on the other side of the Big Muddy, about 45 miles from dowm town(goodbye old Busch ). Anyhow.... I too am looking for ways to restore two 150+ barns on my property. Not sure what style they are, but one has a corn crib right down the middle of it. Both made of huge oak slabs, I can still see the sawmill cuts on all of the timber and slabs. They were most likely used for dairy cattle and maybe pigs,chickens and horses or mules. I also have a milk house and a multi level shed with a root cellar.

Blah blah, sorry, so if you could help me locate that list better I'd greatly apreciate it.
