Planning workshop needing advice.
Limited manpower resources/doing things piecemeal/Would love to not have any posts inside structure. Do glulam spanning tables allow 20 to 24 foot carry in width without posts on the interior. I have some solid 14x14 timbers that can serve as lower level posts, Is that size big enough to carry that load. I have a 2 ton chain hoise to use to lift beams. And a 1 ton warn winch. Block & tackle too. Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 pickup to build into a gantry crane. I have plenty of 8x8 , some 10 by 10's 6x6's of various lengths. I also looking to know if footing 4 feet down say 36x36inches would support a the live/dead/carry load of a 24x24 workshop roof. I know this is a lots to ask, but in general any help or wisdom the sages at the guild can provide, I am all ears. thank you.
