Hi my name is Ron Sharpe. I live in wardsville ontario canada. Myself and some local volunteers are building a 20 x 50 timber frame building for a community in Mellisas Costa Rica. I own a tree service and a lucas saw mill, the plans are all drawn up and now we are cutting all the parts. We are going to start jointing in april or may. We would like to invite anyone who wants to volunteer their time and timber framing skills to come and help. We need to be completed by october because we have to load it in a 40' shipping container and send it on a boat to Costa Rica. We are going to put it up in january of 2018. thanks for your interest.

Hi Ron,
I'm curious to know what species of wood you're using and if you're doing anything for termite protection.
Posting a drawing of the design here might help get interest.

Ok I'll post drawings. We are using pine spruce and white oak. The location is high in the mountains to cold for termites there. I just got back from there and all the buildings in the village are wood. We couldn't find any termite sign or damage there. I did see many at lower elevations though.
