I'm sitting here all ready to moderate, praying that people don't start treating this as a question and answer session, so that my lack of knowledge is laid bare for all to see.

Please post a topic / response so we can get this thing off the ground.

Hi Bill,
This is Tom Southworth using Joel's password. He trying to teach me how to reply to these queries and it only took fifteen minutes just to get on line!

Now that I've got the hang of it I'll wait until there is a serious question then refute your answer.

Best,

Tom

Does this mean I can't ask any questions about Teletubbies?

Well, ok. What's this I hear about Carpenter Oak's budding apprenticeship program?

yes it is true, we are strugling (as many have before) to develop a modern apprenticeship that will both meet the needs of the would be Timber framer, and be workable for the host company.

many have attempted to do this before, some with more sucess than others, we will be revisiting much (yes it does seem to be like re-inventing the wheel).

Before I go much further I would like to hand this over to Gordon Macdonald who is heading up this programme, and let him explain.

We will post this as a new topic.
