You can set that per model as follows:

Model Info | Units | Precision

To set that (and other options), create a default template file, and then set Window | Preferences | Template to point to that file. Any settings you make in that file will be your default settings when you open a new drawings. CB.

Hello Clark,

When you write " Model| Units | Precision" what does this mean? And how does one create the default template?

Thank you, Ford

"Model Info | Units | Precision" is shorthand for:

From the main menu, choose "window" and then "model info". Choose "units" in the left hand column of the resulting dialog. Then set precision to 1/32".

To save a template, start with a blank drawing, delete Bryce, perhaps, and then change any other settings, such as precision, fonts, dimension fonts, etc. Then save that file to a safe place, perhaps naming it "fords_template".

Then select "Window | preferences | template", and then browse to your file. CB.

Hello Clark,

That worked perfectly! I have a template that now snaps lines in foot and inches. So, lets say I want to change my template about; do I have to make a new one with different settings or can I alter this one?

Thank you, Ford

Just edit your template. And yes, that's Bryce. Choose "Window | Entity Info", and then select him. CB.
