Hey Barry,
Be more specific, do you know what kind of "bees", and what's your "stuff"?
I've raised honeybees for 39 yrs and have often beeen called to catch, kill or remove "bees" from buildings and in trees and in the ground. Most of the time they are hornets.
You might be talkiing about carpenter bees which (females) chew holes into (usually, high and dry soft) wood to lay eggs and to store food w the eggs for the larvae to eat after hatching. If you annoy and disrupt them enough at your good stuff, they''l prob go to another location. They are solitary and you could spend lots of repetitive actions trying to foil or kill them.
I have come to accept their presence and occasional damage in most circumstances. Much worse damage happens when various woodpecker species chop into the wood to get the grubs (larvae).
You could prob drape or protect your stuff so the mama bees can't fly directly to it.
Hope this helps.
Steve

Yes, carpenter bees that bore the perfect 3/8" hole. I've had problems with them attacking the soffit and fascia under the eaves of my buildings. These things are extremely destructive to soft woods contain resins. I was looking for some sort of treatment or a way to repel or kill them.
