Hi all,
I'd like to keep this simple but I was looking for some photos that may illustrate the use of old and new wood together. Specifically I will be commencing work on a project that will employ salvaged barn beams as well as freshly cut timbers. One possible permutation may be a standard frame of newly cut hemlock with all the commons being reclaimed barn rafters, just for an example. These photos would be used simply to help the client visualize the look we are aiming to achieve. I've been around plenty of frames and projects but have yet to encounter this particular scenario. FYI, I am aware of the numerous challenges and subtle difficulties that we may run across. Any images and or direct and pertinent experience with this combination would be appreciated. Many thanks!
