That first one looks very much like a photo. Keep us posted, I'm interested in what you learn. CB.

thanks clark. first one was pulled up in pshop by someone on sketchucation... as mine came out really dark.

i dropped the last one into fotosketcher and applied to watercolor filter. i still like fuzzy / sketchy images - as least for now until i can get good and proficient @ making things look a bit more realistic.

lots to learn. placement of materials, lighting, etc. etc.

for interior work and selling clients on overall design package... i can see this being a huge help (and time killer, until one gets good at it!)

twilight runs right inside sketchup, and is only $99.
after some more playtime i may buy it just to have.

Mike,
you might want to have a look at the free Kerkythea, they also have an export plug-in for SU.
I haven't tried it, but it seems to produce nice renderings.
I use Artlantis (wich is not free) and also comes with a plug-in for SU.

Thanks Jonas.
Kerkythea - I think Twilight is based on this.
I'll look into it.

Don't need free, just using the free demo's to try things out.

I'll have to step up to a desktop workstation though - pretty slow on my fast (for modeling, general work) laptop.
