Hi again!i was wondering about how you guys would attach a timber framed truss on a conventional stick framed house..would the lower cord
be mounted directly on the plate with some 2bys gang together directly under the truss?there is another way to do this?and in case the roof framing would not be a truss but a frame with a ridge in the middle, would the rafter be simply notched on the plate with a birdīs mouth like a conventional stick framing rafter..?i hope i explained my questions as clear as possible..of course pictures and examples are always well accepted..thanks!

A timber truss implies a need for a major point load design from roof to footing, just scabbing up 2 bys just might not cut it.

The referenced article is a mixed bag of technique that amounts to genuine ersatz timber frame or trimber frame, a marketing scheme to give the impression or illusion of timeless quality without the rigor or attention to framing tradition.
