Iam building a sauna with 8 x 8 white pine timbers not sure how much time Iam going to have this summer. Would it be a problem if I cut all of my joints this year and wait till next summer to put up the building.

If you have all the joints cut why put off the assembly and raising? It is such a small part compared to cutting joints. There is the foundation issue which can take some thought and time. I don't see any problem with letting timber set, species and quality of timber could affect assembly but nothing a little shaving here or there would not cure.

I haven't started cutting my joints or put in the foundation, hopefully have the concrete poured by august.
