...and it snowed today Yesterday I was suntanning my white legs on my lunch break - and today it snows. What's up with March? And my car got bombarded with falling rocks on the way home, that sucks. But I must say that the drive is worth it. One of the windiest, slipperiest, deer ridden roads in the province, makes the 1/2 hr commute pretty entertaining!

TG. I'm with you! It was 70 deg. here on Wednesday and all the snow was almost gone until last night when we got another two feet of the white stuff. Oh well welcome to New England.

that would be alcohol, Derek ....mmmmmm alcohol, sometimes there is simply nothing better than a good drunk? I never look for spring much before may around here... even in may I can remember days riding on the corn planter when I would freeze my keister off... We will get some nice days before may but I keep the longjohns on till may or maybe june and have a coat with me, in the truck, just in case. I can see snow falling out the window right now....

Well... If Al Gore is correct, I'll be retiring right here in Kaslo under palm trees and beside the sandy beaches of the Pacific Ocean....the Northern Tropics! Might not have any fresh water, but, hey!, I won't need to worry about my pasty white legs in the winter any more!

Nearly 80F here today. 80 tomorrow, 85 Saturday. Daffodils come and gone, forsythia come and almost gone, redbuds out, plums out, dogwoods started popping this week. I need to mow my grass. Spring is here. :p

Warm today, in the past two days the snow melted away. The bulbs have not flowered and the grass is still dormant. I expect greening and flowering next week.

Today was a balmy 5 degrees C and rainy...the crocuses and daffodils are coming up...still freezin' my ass off, cause my forced air heater conked out, and I'm one of the few people around without wood heat Enough can't be said for down quilts. When I put up the tee-pee I'm staying in there. They're quite warm.

Update: The Heat is ON! I finally got around to entering the depths of Mordor which is the basement of my house, and saw that the set screw had come loose from the belt wheel connection to the fan, which in turn (no pun intended) came loose from the fan, and was lying there just waiting for someone (me) to come along and help. Which I did. Because I got cold again. Now, if the temperature happened to be in the upper digits, say 10 degrees plus, that poor little wheel would be laying there till fall, cause I would just say "Ach, it's warm enough...I'll just wear wool. Sorry, Peter!" Well, lucky Pete. Cause it's hard to look cool in wool.
