I know it wasn't that popular, and it even took me a while to realize that it didn't exist anymore, but I also know that CNC operators view this site, and occasionally respond, even if it does take a while.

I actually wanted to post something there today! cry

The CNC forum is what brought me to this site, and led me to read the other threads here and meet some great people and learn some great stuff.

Is it really gone, or am I blind and can't find it out there?
If I can't, then I'll post in the Tool forum... frown

TG,

I just did a search and it is still there. But without the search I cannot find it either. I do not know what Forum it is under. Just search "CNC machine" and they will all show up.

It also shows up when I view my posts, but I think that forum may be archived now.
Mind you, I haven't tried posting anything new from that location..
I'm so confused frown
I wonder if other operators lurk down here?
I need to find out about the new Hundegger planer we just got....

TG,

I did a search on some older topics and did not find them. So I went into the " My posts" list and then wrote a reply there. The post did actually show up again. Not so for the Hundegger discussions. Strangly you can still post in there but it just does not show up anywhere. So you might just have to start a new discussion regarding Hundeggers and there software or try and find a Forum dedicated to that specific topic.
I am not so sure anymore if I really like the new Forum. A lot of things seem to have disappeared, do not show up when searched for and most annoyingly you have to log in first to reply instead of just hitting the reply button and thereafter you are prompt to log in and do not have to find the post you are trying to reply to.

Can someone explain to me why Hundegger topics are now contained within an "Axe Throwing" thread? Is throwing axes some kind of rememdy for K2 operator frustration?

Well, for the last while there's been some of us that have found a haven of sorts down here in axe throwing...
It's a long story, but a continuing one.
It's kind of a place for us in the biz to hang out and talk about what else is going on in our lives and the rest of the world as we see it.
And to post random things, apparently.

The main rule is to appease the Axe Throwing God of the Forum, Steve Lawrence, for continuing to put up with our posts here, and for not deleting it during the Great Change of 2007.
We must honour him by committing to participate in the axe throwing competition at the western conference 2008.
Do you agree to these terms?

OK Y'all:
SO at the TFG Conference at Asilomar two throwing axes were auctioned off. The two purchasers were TFG Board members.
These hard working board members will not have enough time to practice using them but I am sure the axes will be available for the competition and the auction in Idaho.

At least mine will be,

Guild membership is a baragin(and a value) and is included in conference fees for non-members.
Cheers,
Curtis

Thanks for explaining all this to me, both of you. By the way, that "Axe Attack" is quite the graphic...
