just wanted to drop in and say hello. I have been lurking around the site for a little while, I'm a total newbie to this art and find the info and pics (especially the pics  ) very helpful. A few weeks ago I completed my first wood structure, a coop for our chickens and turkeys Not quite the fullblown frame, but still had a blast building it and I think the chickens will dig it too  Anyways, I would love to connect with some experienced local framers, help loggin', cuttin', raisin' whatever need be and get some more tech help and hands on exp. If there are workshops or gtg's in southern ON, please let me know.

haha, thanks... it's also going to house 5 wild turkeys. LOL
I found some eggs in the bushes few weeks back, didn't know how long the mother was gone for but figured what da heck, see if one of the hens will sit on them.... well, the hen sat for almost three weeks, they all hatched, one got poked in the head by an unfriendly hen and died. The rest of them are all doing fine so far but will probably need a pen of their own one day.
Mark, I'm quite familiar with your website, my gf has sent me the link about 100 times.....in the last two weeks... lol

Line Line 2) The chickens don't know the architecture sucks. I was trying to educate them. my chickens are quick learners I fully enclosed the turkey pen this weekend, also first attempt @ working with logs
