We generally use a 12" chop saw to rough out braces. I need to purchase a new one and can not find many options. The only option I have come across is the Bosch 12" slider. I don't really like the controls though. Every other saw seems to have a 3" 7/8 capacity. I would appreciate any info.

I own a 12" Dewalt (4 years old) that cuts full 4x4s no problem. Assume the new one does the same. But I cannot believe any of the other brands would not work either.

Hi fellas,

I own the new version of the dewalt 12" CM saw, and it will indeed cut a full 4x4 in one pass.

I have owned it for 18 months and am pleased with the saw. It gets used every day.

Cheers,
Brock
