I am offering up for sale to the highest bidder our Casselman family heirloom broadaxe. Pictures of both sides of the blade and other pertinent information to be found in earlier posts. This is an exceptional axe and is in good working condition. It has a handmade offset handle, hung for a right handed person. A left handed handle if required could be supplied and would be also handmade, and would be inserted into the axe head, this would have to be negotiated for, and the buyer would be responsible for the cost of shipment.

Hi TB and others:
There are pics in other previous postings on this site, just scroll back a few months april, or may postings, and you will see under a similar heading pictures that I posted at that time

No matter how much I inquire about it, please don't sell it to me. I will destroy it. I know this from experience - or lack thereof .

Hi Mark and others:
Well altogether I have 3 broadaxes, My own, My father's, and my Grandfather's.
One day they will be sold I know that, and I would rather pick and choose now who and where thier new home will be.
Thanks for asking the question. If you ever have been to a dispersal sale and see family treasures going at random it always gives me an awful feeling way down, if you know what I mean. I have thought about a museum, but then I know from experience, artifacts sometimes not displayed or used properly
I hope this answers your question somewhat

Hi Mark:
Well to answer your question I believe that there are enough yet to go around, yet I know where you are coming from too.
