This post is probably off topic because I can't log out since the new bb. Probably the computer settings have something to do with this but I can't investigate or change them on the computers I generally use.

You have a time limit of 4 hours to make changes to a post, after that you can't edit them....

Whatever you do, have fun doing it!

I had that problem too until I blew a big pile of money on a new computer.
I also went to newer browsers, so I'm guessing it may have to do with less than the latest greatest technology.
Wish I could help more.

not being able to log off is probably a cookie issue. depending on your browser you can d/l an extension that will allow you to automatically manage cookies. my browser of choice is firefox.

i think it's bogus that you only have 4 hrs to edit a post. that isn't very practical and such a parameter should be reconsidered.

It's probably cookies, not being able to log out only happens on certain computers. Fortunately these particular machines have Deep Freeze so cookies are cleared upon reboot.
I didn't know about the four hour edit window. Twenty fours hours would work better.

I'll check to see if I can extend the editing deadline.

So do we have any ideas about the logging in problem?

How about enabling the feature to upload avatars? I'm curious to see what some of these folks want us to think they look like...
