Hello,

i was recenty talking with a friend over here in the UK who reckoned that there is an adjustable bed available to buy in the US that fits onto a chainsaw bar, allowing the chainsaw to be used to cut angles as well as performing plumb ripping of timbers.

I know that mafell sell as carpenters saw here in europe that allows you to hinge the bar about 60 degrees out of plumb, only problem is that it costs $4500 !!

I am on the look out for an alternative that i can fix onto my chainsaw - thought i'd look into whats available over in the US before approaching a fabricator here in the UK.

If anyone has any suggestions please mail me: tristaneckl@tiscali.co.uk

Another option i suppose is the attachment to turn a worm drive circular saw into a chainsaw - again any info would be appreciated,

thanks tristan

Tristan,

http://www.loghelp.com/tools/chainsaw.html

That page has the 2 that I know of -- the headcutter and the miter mill.
