hello
I'm going to start a timber framing activity in France near Nantes and I'm looking for buying tools, particularly mortiser and beam saw. I woold like some impressions or advice about tools that are available on the market.
For exemple one of the most popular mark in France is mafell but they are really expensive tools and some people told me it is not so good. These tools are told to be weak made but efficient, is it true or not.
I would be really glad to receive your advice, thank you.

Please don't be too strict with mi english.

Your English is very good. wink

I haven't use the Mafell tools very much, but they seem to be very well made. I know people who have Mafell tools that are very pleased with them.

I've used a Makita Mortiser and it was very good. I plan to buy one within the next 5 months.
