I am currently in the thick of installing our K2. Although one of our guys was on site to dismantle and ship it to our shop, I am going to be the one doing a lot of the reassembly myself over the next two weeks.
While the rest of the crew go's on a raising, I might add.
I was wondering if anyone might have any words of wisdom for my journey. Anything would be useful
Thanks in advance.

oh, no that would have been to easy.
Luckily I have been able to grope my way through most of it so far. I now have all of the main body reassembled and just moved it into place over the dust collection pit, on Fri.
What a big sigh of relief that was. Taking dimensions over the phone from someone , 2500 mi. away is nerve racking to say the least.
All that is left is to: install infeed/outfeed tables, connect air line, hook up power, replace missing bolts i have encountered, and wait for the hundegger boys to arrive and tune it up.
Then it will be time to kick back and wait for something to go wrong.

I'm assuming this machine moved from Farmington, NY to McMinnville, OR? No?
Might be better to talk to the folks at HQ (the folks that have moved and installed 2 of these machines now... than complain anonymously on a forum...?

bmike-
Yes, yes it is. As a matter of fact we got it up and running last night at around 8p.m.
I had forgotten how easy it was to offend people via the internet, this of course was never my intention.
I could see how my post might have been taken as a complaint, but you would really have to be looking to see that.
As for anonymity, when you click on my screen name it tells you exactly whom you are dealing with. That doesn't seem anonymous to me.
I am assuming that we know, or at least know of each other and I don't want you or anyone else to have the wrong impression of me.

Fair enough... but when I click your profile I learn your email addy, your birthday, and a sentence about fly fishing, tea, and your family...
Just came off as grousing - and there can be a lot of machine bashing on this forum.
I'm in Jamestown, RI with the crew on a raising. Snowy here.

There is nothing wrong with bashing machines, you should see the road I have to bash my machine over to get to the job site.

Is that the barn raising? Did it go well? Our guys got back from MI last week.
We have record snow right now which is making things a little difficult to operate.
By the way, I took your advice. With the help of a certain person back at HQ yesterday, I was able to get the K2 calibrated and ready to cut yesterday.
