I'm looking for some advice/opinions on my foundation detail. The frame is a single story with a 2x10 stick framed floor. I'm planning to have the posts sit directly on the floor framing with 2x10 solid blocking under each post. I will make the bottom cuts on the posts after shooting elevations of the floor. The foundation wall (8") is in line with the posts. I plan to use a Simpson LHSTD anchor (strap nailed to the outside of the timber embedded into the concrete). The 2x6 exterior walls will rest on the floor which cantilevers 6" beyond the foundation.

you can still use a 2"stub tenon at the post bottom, just keep nails away from the top of those 2x10 landing spots and mortise them in place.... this would make it easier to set up the frame and give horizontal strength to go along with your tie down strap.

Thanks Mark. Would you recommend a square stub tenon (ie: 3x3) or a rectangular (2x8)? I was also planning to cut away the plywood sub floor under the posts to provide a bit of a pocket for the posts to drop into.

rectangular....although functionally either would do(keep 2" or more of relish on corners). Again, watch out for nails, if there is danger of nails, keep the chain mortiser away and use a cheap drill bit.... the 2 inch deep mortise is fast to clean out anyways.
