Hi,

I have Sketchup 7 - "free to download" version on my computer and want to learn to use this better so I downloaded the full *.pdf help file from the Google Sketchup web pages. It explains that the animation facility is only available on the Pro version but when I select the File menu, then export, and then animation I am able to make an animation based on the scenes that I have set within Sketchup. The resolution of these scenes can be much improved over the default 320 x 210 and I ran one at 1068 x 720 at 30 frames / sec which resulted in a very clear and much less jagged animation, but obviously results in a very large file size.

I have experimented with placing the resultant *avi file inside a *pdf document and would like to be able to password protect and secure same against extraction but I now find that securing the *pdf stops the *avi from playing inside the *pdf because this information obviously needs to be extracted from the embedded *.pdf to play within the document.

Is there a way to achieve my objective of securing an *.avi within a *.pdf that still allows the *avi to play ?

Regards

Ken Hume

Looking back to see the way ahead !

Ken -

What is the goal of embedding into the PDF?
