I would appreciate any information regarding preservation of fabricated douglas fir timbers and their subsequent shipment to Hawaii. I know about borate and Hi Clear II treatments, but am concerned about handling the timbers during and after the treatment. Is it reasonable to expect timbers to be damage-free upon arrival in HI?

Maybe you should have a word with our very own Hawaiian: Super-George Kobayashi? George's details are in the TFG directory...or e-mail me for his info.

Don't forget that Hawaii is termite country.

All the best!

Gord

Don't forget to find out what chemicals cannot be used per USDA, EPA and the state of Hawaii
would be a shame to get to the receiving dock and discover you can't unload
