After some discussion off list I built a dynamic 'hole cutter' that can be used for placing windows / doors into SketchUp models.

As many of you know - SketchUp components can be designed to 'cut' into a surface when they are placed. This is very handy for windows and doors. Unfortunately SketchUp only cuts 1 face - so for a wall you need to cut the hole on the interior surface.

The component linked below can be put in your library and brought in to your model. If running SketchUp 7 and up you'll be able to right click for dynamic component options and adjust the size.
