I apologize if this isn't the right place to post this, but it seemed right.

I am the owner of a property in Kempton, PA, between Allentown and Reading. On this property I have a 17 ft x 30 ft timber frame garage. I'm having a house built, and the garage will be an obstruction for the driveway (sight distance). I have the option of moving the garage, and I'm getting a cost estimate for that. I can also dismantle the garage and reuse the timbers on site.

I am looking for a local framer who can advise on the cost of dismantling the garage and possibility of reusing the timbers for a smaller structure. At this time, I would prefer someone who can visit the site and evaluate the building, but I can take pictures first to help you decide if it's worth coming out at all.

Thanks for any leads,
Justin Bukowski

The person I know that does this kind of work and would be able to advise you is Craig Roost, savabarn@yahoo.com
He's in Wisconsin, so wouldn't be able to do the job, but I'm sure he'd offer you an estimate from his experience. He dismantles, repairs, moves, and re-raises timberframe barns full time. Very friendly guy.
