Have any of you had any experience with the Veritas Skew Rabbet Plane?

In addition to hand-cutting rabbets, shaping raised panels, etc., it seems that it would be quite nice for finishing tenon cheeks. The skew seems like it would cut across the grain much easier than using a bench rabbet plane.

I got sick of smashing my knuckles cleaning up tenon cheeks with an old Stanley rabbet plane. I bought myself a pair of the Veritas planes and haven't looked back. Time cleaning up tenon cheeks has halved and they also work a treat neatening up tenon shoulders. They remove wood quickly and with little effort; 1/8" in a few short strokes. That being said nothing is perfect. I find them a little fiddly to set up after sharpening. They also have the tendency to cause a bit of tearout when the grain is running against you, however this is the grain direction that cleans up easily with your slick or chisel so no real problem here.
Overall a nice bit of kit that will quickly pay for itself in saved time and intact knuckles

While I can't speak to the Veritas plane, I have had the occasion to use the Lie-Nielsen No 10 1/4 and have to say it's the cat's meow for cleaning up tenons & scarf joints. The tilting knob and handle contribute to that as much as the quality of the plane.

It's on my wish list.
