Hi folks,

Wondering if y'all have ideas on what to do about upper cabinets in my Sobon Shed kitchen. Will snap a pic later this evening.....currently building the base cabinets....and am pondering ideas about uppers. I don't really want to cover the bracing with corner cabinets too much so may just go with some type of shelf or rack.

We've got uppers on an interior (partition) wall but are going with a more open shelf design around the braces on the exterior wall...

Much more open as I haven't even drawn it out yet.

Build the Uppers with open backs and leave the doors off them.
That it what the OLDEN days were like where they nailed a shipping box to the wall and them's were the Uppers.
Careful who you get to build them, though. Some unscrupulous individuals would charge you more for 'period architectural design'.

Consider building the support for the uppers into the lower cabinets....kind of like a hutch.
Then if you decide to move the kitchen aroudn for a more efficient layout your needn't worry about nail holes or wood that has aged differently being exposed.
