The easiest and most efficient way to learn about timber framing is to join the Guild and attend a conference (the next one is in Fairlee, VT at the end of October). Membership is open to all and only costs $65/year. It includes a newsletter, a subscription to a quarterly journal, a copy of the membership directory, and access to the Members Only section of the website. The conference is a great place to learn about timber framing and meet members from timber framing companies.
