I'm trying to design some timber floor joists out of both red oak and white ash and I'm having a hard time finding consistent design values. Does anyone have access to the following engineering values for both ash & oak: Fb- extreme bending fiber, V- shear, & E- modulus of elasticity?

Chapter 4 of the Wood Handbook (there is a link to it on the main Guild page) has all sorts of UNADJUSTED strength properties for ash and other species.

On the main tfguild page, on the left side, as you scroll down under "Timber Framing News" there is a link as well.
this info was originally from Joe Miller.

We are currently cutting a 12"x14"x16' ash beam and I can tell you it is very tough wood even green......add a wee bit extra joinery time
