Pinus Silvestris, is the main wood we use here in Sweden for timbers, for loghome or timber frame. To me it seems that it can twist much if it has been growing solitary, as it then tends to grow turning/twisting with the sun. If it's straight grown then you can get a fine piece of timber out of it.
Be careful when drying/storing it though, or you will have a blue piece of wood due to fungi.
