I am new to this barn thing. Raised a city girl, but bought our new home in the country less than a year ago. We have a T-shaped barn that I am told has hand hewn beams. I have no other information on or about it except that it has a cedar shake roof. The problem we are having is that it is in dire need of restoration. I fear that if the roof is not repaired soon than the beams will be destroyed. It seems such a shame that the people we bought the house from let it go so badly. It really could be a beautiful structure, however, we are on very limited funds. We may need to have it torn down if we cannot find someone to fix it at a low cost. (Or someone who would like to purchase it) I hate to see it go.

Good point!! Sorry about that, thought I mentioned that. We are located in Northwest Ohio. About 20 miles west of Toledo, OH.
