I am interested in sizing timbers for use on small one story outbuildings in timber frame.
The species I have in abundance is "Sycamore" aka Buttonwood, aka Plane
Tree, aka Ghost tree. It is a dense but wet hardwood and I know it is much like Beech.
The lengths I have will be 9' in the rough and would like to use some sort of an 8' construction grid to utilize all the standard 4' x 8' insulation and plywood panels which are available.
I appreciate any help I can get.
