Hi, I'm about half way thru a timber frame and I'm storing the timbers in a heated shop as I complete the joinery. I'm concerned about them drying too fast. Recently at a nearby building site I noticed all the post and beam ends were coated with what appeared to be some type of wax. Can anyone reccomend such a product? Thanks, Jay

Jay, a common product called Anchor Seal is made by UC Coatings[www.uccoatings.com] of Buffalo NY. It's wax based and works by slowing moisture transfer through the end grain.
