I recently acquired a huge pile of vintage timbers..mostly oaks and chestnut. Some are full of old ,brittle, rusty nails. I am using a metal detector and slightly filed wire cutters to remove them but this method is PAINSTAKING!! and i still sometimes can,t get all the metal out. Does anyone know an easier way..Also has anyone used the system three "rot fix" and putty..How does it work and look? I have some slight damage in some spots..Thanks for any input any of you can give.

We use a very good epoxy by Advanced Repair Technology for timber repair. It is very stong and has the same properities as wood as far as movement is concerned. Contact John Stahl @607.264.9040.
