Hi guys,

I recently tore the roof off of my sleeping porch and am planning on timberframing the joists and leaving the ceiling of the room open.

I was going to make kingpost trusses out of 6X6's (small room)

and have common rafters in between.

The outside dimensions of the room are 10'1" by 13'6" (not including overhang)

I was curious if there is anywhere on the net I could go and look at various roof systems to get ideas for the joints, and how to attatch the hole thing to the top of the wall.

Also, is 6X6 large enough for the joints, and the 13' span, if it is reinforced by the kingpin with a through mortice(and lots of relish?)

Ok, I guess by the lack of response I can assume that I have asked this question in the wrong forum.
