I have cut two cruck trees and am looking for examples or dialog on cruck designs and how they integrate with the roof and foundation.

Take a look at the December issue of Scantlings, which discusses in part the Eastern Conference at Lake Morey Vermont, where a single cruck frame was cut from scratch.

Contact Guild bookseller Char Cooper for her recommendations ((315)462-3444).

If there is sufficient demand, the TFG would be delighted to bring together a weekend-long or even week-long event.

I may be a bit late for this one, but I am in the process of researching the development of domestic architecture and have a lot of detailed information relating to cruck frame houses - going back to the Anglo saxon origins. If i can help, please contact

I realize it's a little late but I would certainly hav an interest in a course on cruck construction. Like most owners of umpteenth growth new england woodland I have far more cruck trees than straight timber. Being able to incorporate them would be great. If I could just figure out how to mark reference lines for hewing a face I'd have a good start!
