I have been asked to asses a 36'x75' barn that is in good shape with very little rot. Hand hewn timbers throughout with log rafters. 12' to the top plate, four bents. Mostly spruce. I live in upstate NY near the Vt. boarder. Anyone in this area that may have intrest in dismantling it or purchasing it?

Mike,

I would recomend attending the TTRAG annual symposium April 28-30 at the Silver Bay conference center on Lake George. The info is on this web site. You would have a chance to network with over 100 historical frame nuts.

If you can't attend, you should try to get a picture board made up for the symposium so we can see what this barn is.
