I am a member of a Quaker Meeting in the Ft. Belvoir, VA area. Our buildings are pre civil war era post and beam construction. Unfortunately, our carriage shed had a tree fall on it some time ago and it has taken on a severe list as a result. We intend to restore the carriage shed to it's original condition but need the help of an experienced timber framer/structural engineer, preferably one who is willing to work with volunteer labor. Any ideas on where to find such a person??

How far are you from Staunton VA? We could probably arrange an onsite vist in conjunction with the TTRAG Confrence April 6,7. I'm sure some of the attendees would be interested in a field trip if the distance isn't too great.

Are you planning on attending that conference? Info is available on the Guild website.
