Old Barn needs repair #8132 02/05/02 05:52 PM

I live in northwest Indiana, about 90 miles southeast of Chicago. I have an old barn that was damaged by a bad storm last fall. Over the years the entire upper part of the barn has shifted ~ 18 inches, and in the storm the south wall was damaged and the shifting made even worse.

I would like to know who I might contact in my area to have look at the barn and suggest what can be done to fix it. My insurance company is only willing to pay to repair part of the damage, so I'm having to decide what I can afford to do in order to fix it. Thanks!

Scott,

You might try contacting Amos Schwartz at 219-368-7351. He's in Geneva, but I know he works in Ohio and Michigan. If he can't help, he may be able to refer you to someone who can. Otherwise, check back in for more ideas.

Rudy

Our Company, Trillium Dell Timberworks is located in central IL. Please feel free to give us a call at 309.289.7921. We are often in your area and would be glad to take a look at your structure.
