Is anyone sending away corner chisels to anyone for sharpening/repair ? Or am I the only lazy one ? I've got 2 chisels now with 1/4" broke off one side an need them machine re-ground.
As an aside what type of stone sharpeners are people using, wheel or flat disk type?

I am sure that you are not the only one to send their corner chisels out. How are you breaking them? As a repeat offender, perhaps it is not the chisel.
I know people using every imaginable sharpening system. Low speed, cool steel, plenty of patience, short duty cycle.

How ? oh, I think one was dropped on concrete, another was just filled down so much it needed serious reshaping, just lots of use and the old my dog ate it excuse....
I found a small machine shop that makes custom carbide tools, they did a great job,
they look like new and the cutters are all
happy........
