If they offered a longer bar than 4" (which I am most certain they will), do y'all think this model KC100Z would sell if they released it in the states?
It is sold in France now.

Hi Whit,

Not sure if they would sell in the states but I suspect they would sell in Canada if the pricing was comparible to the Makita 'along-grain' mortisers which are popular up here (and down south I presume).

Whit,
I think it would sell but I have heard of a lot of animosity between Makita of Japan, US and Europe which would make it difficult. That is why it is hard to find the 13" makita saw. But if you want that mortiser my sister lives there and would be more than happy to get one, although power conversion would be a issue.
